Getting around Hood River: While parking and traffic can be a pain in busier times of year, renting a car is worthwhile especially if you want to hike, drive the Fruit Loop, or explore the valley. Hood River also has a great bus system that serves the entire area 7 days a week. Ubers, Lyfts, and taxis are very limited but available.
